Best Ball (Match)

Two against two, with everyone playing their own ball. Each side takes its lower score on the hole; the lower side-score wins that hole and equal scores halve it. The match ends when the lead is greater than the holes remaining. In Stymie, the net setting uses 85% of each player’s Course Handicap difference from the low player. That is a house setting, distinct from the USGA’s 90% four-ball match-play recommendation. Agree on the policy before play.
