Scramble

Teams usually have two or four players. Everyone hits, the team chooses a shot, and everyone plays from that position. Repeat until holed. Record one team score per hole; the lowest total wins. Placement distances and minimum-drive requirements are competition rules to agree before play. A common placement rule is within one club length, no nearer the hole and in the same area of the course, with a smaller marked area on the putting green.
